Fungus in bokashi tea

Cristina Llaona Sintes asked 1 year ago

Hi
I am using bokashi from 2018 and never befare the bokashi tea had produced fungus. From the lsst year, all bokashi tea that I collect in bottles prduces fungus in the surface. Do you know which could be the reason? I don’t use it for my plants and at the end I lift it up, it hss not a good look.

The tea should be used within a few hours of taking it out of the bin.  If you are storing it longer, it can go bad.  Perhaps thats the reason you are seeing what you see. Note that white mold is a healthy and good part of bokashi composting (it is a fungi), nothing to be concerned about.
