What to do with the bokashi tea????!!! So much work!

Bokashi CommunityCategory: bokashi composting questionsWhat to do with the bokashi tea????!!! So much work!
Jacqueline Waddingham asked 3 weeks ago

Hi.  We are committed to bokashi composting.  However, we are getting exhausted with the tea.  We are looking for alternative ways to dispose of it, other than the garden.  We are on a septic system and are watchful of the balance of the biome…  Any suggestions on where we can dump or use it?  We have a forest in our back garden, would 100% strength be to strong to empty the DAILY TEA back there?  THANKS FOR ANY SUGGESTIONS!

We’ve not heard of any cases where it has been a problem to add too much bokashi tea to a septic system.  If you are concerned, however, then by all means putting the excess tea in the back forest area as you suggest should be acceptable.  Perhaps consider diluting it with a little bit of water, so that the tea goes down below the surface where the microbes will be happier and do the most good.
