townhouse-living

Jennifer asked 3 years ago

I would love to purchase a bokashi compost however, I have a few questions first. I live in a townhome and not permitted to plant outside. I have a lot of indoor plants and want to plant veggies in pots this summer. If I don\\\\\\\’t use all the compost can it be kept? Can I mix it together with bag soil for my plants? Will I need to put in a different container. If I can keep it, for how long? Thank you.

If you make a ‘soil factory’, then yes the compost can be kept for some time. We recommend that you use regular garden soil for the soil factory rather than store bought bagged soil. This is because regular garden soil will have more life in it, and that life will expand on the bokashi pre-compost. This way, the compost will last for several months.
