Thanks for the question. It can’t be guaranteed to do this in every case. We normally recommend to keep rotten and diseased items out of the bokashi bin. However, if you do put these items in the bin, we advise to keep them to a small amount, to give an extra sprinkle of bokashi bran, and to leave the bin to sit for an additional week or two.
