Is there an efficient bin option where the tap does not get blocked and the tap drips making my house smell like a rubbish tip when I come home
Hi,
We have a pair of Bokashi bins which we rotate around, my wife likes to regularly drain off the liquid but after a few times the tap gets blocked and does not seal off the bin properly and a slow but constant drip forms. We can capture this drip and dispose, or we can let it drip into the sink but any option we choose results in the house smelling like a rubbish tip and I am done with it.
Is there something that someone has thought of to try and prevent this drip or did my wife buy a crap Bokashi bin and therefore, what is the best option for replacement bins please? The bin has a sticker on the front that has a mound of dirt and a few leaves growing from it with the words Urban Composter on either side, these are the only identifying features I can see as far as branding.
Thank you for your assistance.
That does not sound like one of our composting bins, however we can provide you with simple instructions on how to fix a leaky spigot. Please send us an email to info@bokashiliving.com and we will reply to you with a PDF instruction page.
