When using the trench method, is there some rule of thumb with regards to how closely to make subsequent trenches?

Thanks for your question. No, there is no rule of thumb to follow. Just bury the bokashi pre-compost wherever you need it.┬áRemember, you don’t need to bury all of the bokashi pre-compost in the same space. You can make a number of smaller trenches around your garden if you wish.

We hope that helps. Feel free to call or ask further questions here if you have them.

Can the pre-compost be buried in the same spot every time or does it need to be in a new place each time?

Hi Diane,

No need to find a new spot every time. The bokashi pre-compost can be buried in the same place every time. Remember, if you add bones, touch skins (such as avocado) or other large items to your bokashi bucket, then you may still see these items two weeks later, when you are burying the next bucket of bokashi pre-compost.

Happy composting čÖé
