Thank you bokashi gurus for all you do! I wish I would have found your site sooner:/ So I just dumped a five gallon bucket of 3 month old rancid bokashi in a shallow ditch next to my avocado tree and covered it with mulch. I totally did not know that the liquid needs to be drained from the lower catch bucket (made my own setup, no drain spout). It was sitting in a dark closet for the hottest 3 months of the summer. But I didnt realize it smelled bad until right when I opened and immediately dumped it. Is it a pathogen soup that will cause disease and infection in my orchard and kill my trees? Or will the indigenous micro organisms eventually remedy it? What should I do?
Thanks

Your orchard/trees should be fine, as these have well established roots.  It would have been beneficial to have added some fresh bokashi bran to the mix as you  were burying it though..  If possible, we would recommend that you go back and do that.
