Compost Tea Question

Matt asked 2 weeks ago

Hi,
I’m in the process of creating a soil factory for my container garden on my patio. Therefore I only have potting soil to use for mixing into my pre compost. While I’m in the process of creating the pre compost, I was wondering if there would be any issues with taking the initial compost tea, diluted of course, and adding it to the potting soil ahead of beginning the soil factory process. Any do’s and don’ts related to this would be appreciated, thanks!

There should be no problems with what you propose to do with the Bokashi tea. However, it’s highly important that you begin your soil factory with healthy garden soil and not store bought bagged soil. Bagged soil from a store is sterile and has no life in it. We need the life that is contained in healthy garden soil to do the job of soil building in the soil factory.
