Can it freeze?

Yes, it is ok if the soil freezes after you have buried your bokashi pre-compost. The freezing will kill and damage some of the beneficial soil microbes in the bokashi pre-compost so you may want to add some extra bokashi pre-compost when the soil thaws to help boost the beneficial soil microbe populations. You will see slower break down of the bokashi pre-compost into your soil during cold weather. But, don’t worry, things will pick up again as soon as the temperatures rise.
