Can I put excess bokashi tea in the compost bin? I read somewhere in your blog that we could add finished bokashi to the compost. How about the tea? ALso, are there amount that is too much for the compost bin?

Thanks for the question. Yes, the bokashi tea is a great addition to a compost bin. The tea is teeming with the beneficial bokashi microbes and your compost bin will love the boost, so feel free to tip the excess tea in your compost. Just be careful not to make your compost pile too wet by adding too much bokashi tea.
And, yes, you can also add the fermented bokashi food waste (pre-compost) to your compost pile. Again, this is a great source of the beneficial bokashi microbes. Just chop in and mix the bokashi pre-compost, much in the same way as you would for burying using the trench method. The bokashi pre-compost will break down easily in an active compost pile and will give a boost to slow compost piles.
Happy composting 🙂
