bokashi-liquid-smells

tt asked 2 years ago

I drain the liquid daily but it still smells like trash/ putrid. I\’ve left the contents to ferment for 2 weeks and just opened the container and did not smell anything bad. Has the compost gone bad or is it just because air has gotten in via the spigot?

The bokashi tea can often smell rather unpleasant.  Diluting it with water, as you should, will help!  It sounds like everything is just fine.  No need to worry about air coming in through the spigot.  That amount of air will not affect anything at all.
