If you have just placed an order on our online shop, you can start collecting your food waste now. When your order arrives, you can add a 1″ layer of your stored food waste to your first bucket. Sprinkle around 1 tbsp of bokashi bran. Repeat until you’ve added all of your stored food waste. You can then carry on adding your daily food waste until your first bin is full.

We suggest keeping your food waste in the freezer so that it doesn’t go moldy before your bokashi composting kit arrives. You will need to defrost your food waste before you add it to your bokashi bin; the bokashi microbes thrive at room temperature.
